Well-known, and World Renowned Birder (especially in our eyes) Shawneen Finnegan will be aboard with the Gurisii! We are excited that she is going to be onboard. She lives in Oregon now, but was a Cape May Birding fixture for many years. She is visiting her BFFs on the East Coast and will be birding with us while she's here.
Maybe she'll find a rarity for us, as she has a serious track record for finding birds. So, be sure to book your seats now for the October trip out of Cape May and Don't Miss the Boat!
Also both the Cape May & Brooklyn September Pelagics are Sold Out! The Gurisii are planning to be on the Brooklyn Pelagic September 15-16. So if you have your tickets we look forward to seeing you!! The female Gurisii has a new knee and she's ready to use it (weather and German Shepard permitting). You'll have to ask us about the German Shepard comment. It's a cute story.

Oding has been a bust for us this summer, it was too stinking hot and humid to be outside most of the time. We had a few nice days and scored a big win in Sussex County, NJ - Arrowhead Spiketail! Yes, this was a great find and it just astonished us how incredibly beautiful that bug is!! Check it out! Don't forget Ed Lam's Amazing book, Dragonflies of North America, is due to be released October 15th! We are so excited and can't wait to hold it in our hands.
